Nights In New York City

As I’ve said before, New York City is one of my favorite places in the world. Give me any excuse to go, and I’m there.

My boyfriend and I had tickets to a late broadway show at Radio City and thought it would be best to stay the night. We stayed at CitizenM New York Times Square and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Centrally and conveniently located near most broadway theaters and Times Square (as you can tell by the name), it was a mere 3 minute walk to Radio City! Continue reading

This Milkshake Brings all the Boys to the Yard

New York City may be one of my favorite places in the world. I can’t quite put into words why it’s my favorite place because there’s endless reasons why..  Something about the diversity of the people, or how New Yorkers have such pride in their city, or the fact that it truly is the city that never sleeps, or that it offers something for everyone.. It simply fascinates me. If the cost of living wasn’t so sky high or if I won the lottery, I would most definitely move there.

Anyways.. I’m always seeking out yummy, insta-worthy foods to try and cool eateries to go to. I’m such a foodie. I came across this awesome looking milkshake on Facebook one day.. I was salivating just staring at the picture on my computer screen. The restaurant that houses these mega milkshakes, loaded with all the sweets and treats that I love, is Black Tap Craft Burgers and Beer located in New York City. Continue reading

We decided to make it special and venture into New York City for the day.  We ate brunch in the Meatpacking District at Dos Caminos; a Mexican restaurant. It was superb; the meal and the service. They had the best guacamole I’ve ever had by a long shot.

We then moseyed on over to Le Bain at The Standard. This place was upscale and had a chill vibe. They even had a jacuzzi on the top floor. We ordered a few drinks and relaxed on their rooftop for a little as we took in the sights of Downtown Manhattan. I recommend the drink, “Mona Lisa,” which tasted like a loaded mimosa.

Now, let’s get to the exciting part…..

I can finally say I’ve checked riding in a helicopter over New York City off my bucket list. But wait, it gets better… A helicopter with NO DOORS. I was scrolling through the explore page on Instagram one day and I came across FlyNYON: a one of a kind aerial experience from an open door helicopter. I immediately thought, “We need to do this!” Boy am I glad we did. It was the most thrilling experience of my life, our lives.
