This Milkshake Brings all the Boys to the Yard

New York City may be one of my favorite places in the world. I can’t quite put into words why it’s my favorite place because there’s endless reasons why..  Something about the diversity of the people, or how New Yorkers have such pride in their city, or the fact that it truly is the city that never sleeps, or that it offers something for everyone.. It simply fascinates me. If the cost of living wasn’t so sky high or if I won the lottery, I would most definitely move there.

Anyways.. I’m always seeking out yummy, insta-worthy foods to try and cool eateries to go to. I’m such a foodie. I came across this awesome looking milkshake on Facebook one day.. I was salivating just staring at the picture on my computer screen. The restaurant that houses these mega milkshakes, loaded with all the sweets and treats that I love, is Black Tap Craft Burgers and Beer located in New York City.

I knew I couldn’t have been the first to come across this heavenly looking milkshake so I assumed there would be a huge craze over them. So how many people are lined up out the door for them? Tons! How long is the wait? Pretty long. Be prepared to stand outside of the restaurant for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour but also be prepared to have the best milkshake you’ve ever had. The price of these bad boys are $15.00 which I don’t think is unreasonable considering it’s a top of the line milkshake and you get a bunch of goodies on top. It’s basically a meal in itself!

I decided to get the “Sweet & Salty”: peanut butter shake with a chocolate frosted rim with chocolate gems, peanut butter cups, topped with a sugar daddy, pretzel rods, a chocolate covered pretzel, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle.

My boyfriend decided to get “The Cookie Shake”: vanilla cookie shake with a vanilla frosted rim with cookie crumbles, topped with a cookie sandwich, crumbled cookies, chocolate chips, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle.

We plan on going back next time we venture into the city.. That’s how much we enjoyed them. And honestly, neither of us are much of a milkshake person!

Tips & Tricks:

  • If the hostess asks if you’d like to sit at the bar, say YES! Most people say no because they prefer a table so you get to cut the line! The bar area is spacious and the tables aren’t your typical table. So, say yes to the bar (as you always should hehe)

xo, Carly
