I know, I know.. I’ve been MIA. I haven’t posted in a while because I simply haven’t had any time. I’ve been super busy working, traveling… and shopping! Summer is officially here and so are the trends. I recently purchased two pairs of open-toed, blocked heel booties and let’s just say, I am obsessed. These booties are currently my favorite warm weather shoe because they look super cute with almost any outfit. I’ve never been a huge fan of wedges because I feel like they’re too casual and clunky so it was only right to purge my closet of wedges and replace with bootie heels. Continue reading
Does anyone else suffer from the curse of dry skin especially in the dead of winter? I know I do. Moisturizing has always been a part of my daily routine. The first thing I do once I get out of the shower is moisturize and nothing quenches the thirst of my poor dry skin better than Morrocanoil Body Soufflé.
Foundation: a necessity to every girl’s glam get-up. I’ve been wanting to write a post about the foundation I use because it’s simply amazing. I’ve tried and tested countless foundations, fell in love with Estée Lauder Double Wear, and will never wear anything else, ever again.
Estée Lauder’s renowned Double Wear Foundation prides itself on it’s “stay in place” formula and 24 hour staying power, all while providing unbeatable coverage and a flawless finish. Continue reading
I am definitely not a jeans person. I wear leggings any chance that I can. Leggings are pants and anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong! I wear my leggings to work paired with a cute blouse or tunic.. or lounging around the house on a lazy Sunday afternoon.. or while I’m out and about running errands. Leggings are a staple in my wardrobe because they can be effortlessly dressed up or dressed down, all while allowing me to be comfortable. Continue reading
Valentine’s Day is observed around the world as a day to celebrate unconditional love and the heartfelt relationship you have with your significant other, or loved ones. I enjoy celebrating this day, mainly because I love celebrating any holiday. But.. I don’t believe that this one day, and all the commercialism encompassed, should measure the true merit of love in my relationship. My boyfriend does a very good job of making every day as special as this one, so for me, Valentine’s Day is just like any other day. Although, I do have to say, the two dozen red roses that my boyfriend had delivered to my job were SO beautiful.. And the accompanying box of chocolates definitely hit the spot! Continue reading
As the dead of winter approaches here in New York, it has been quite frigid. I dread walking out the door in the morning to head to work. There’s always such a chill in the air and a layer of frost on my windshield. My car, unfortunately, does not have an automatic car starter.. So, in order to stay warm on the coldest of days, I bundle up in my Canada Goose parka.
The other night, my friend and I went to The Witches Brew in Hempstead, NY. This cafe is well known for their extensive variety of coffees and teas, their savory desserts, their entirely vegetarian food menu, and the atmosphere created therein. This cafe has a spooky ambiance with gothic decor, as if it’s Halloween 365 days a year. You’re seated at quaint, mismatched tables, in love seats and plush pillowed chairs that make you feel as if you’re right at home. Continue reading
Naturally, I have some pretty long eyelashes. I get compliments on my lashes all the time and I have my mascara to thank. Other than some pigmentation variation and whether or not the formula is waterproof, most mascaras are all the same. It’s the wand that makes the difference! Not all wands are created equal. Each mascara wand has a different, specific purpose which in turn, produces different results. I’ve tested all types of brands and various types of wands and have found the holy grail of mascaras: L’Oréal Telescopic Original Mascara. Continue reading
If you love fondue, you must eat at The Melting Pot in Farmingdale, NY. Rich, creamy cheeses and decadent, gooey chocolate make a girl like me very happy. This restaurant offers an interactive dining experience like no other.. You actually cook your own entrée fondue style! You can order a-la-carte but I recommend the 4-Course Experience where you get cheese, a salad, a full entrée, and dessert for anywhere between $36.95 & $48.50 depending on which entrée items you choose. You can customize your order however you’d like and swap menu choices out for others. Continue reading
I’ve just recently returned from a little trip to California. The main purpose of the trip was to attend a family member’s wedding but we decided to make a mini vacation out of it. We flew in to the beautiful city of San Diego and this is where a little piece of my heart remains. I loved everything about San Diego.. A canvas of palm trees, architecture unlike here in New York, friendly people, warm sand, and best yet, the Pacific Ocean! It was my first time in Cali, and my first time touching the Pacific Ocean. Continue reading
